June 2018, Tokyo Coffee Trip

I have been to Japan for two times. I visited Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto. I was impressed by the general experience in Japan in these two trips. I also visited Vietnam and Northern Europe. In all trips, I grabbed limited opportunities to try coffee there as I went there with my friends. This time, I am going back to Tokyo on my own such that I can focus nearly only on Japanese coffee.

Japan is really a good place for coffee and perhaps you may have your best cups ever experienced here. Why this is so?

  1. It is Japanese Way and Culture to optimize every single step in the production and service so as to achieve perfection. It is in Japanese's blood
  2. You can have the best roasters and barista all found in Japan
  3. Natural resources in Japan are so abundant and rich that the milk here may be one of the very best in the world
  4. Japaneses love coffee, there is a saying that 3 cups of coffee are consumed by one Japanese each day on average
  5. Japan is a developed rich country. Coffee belongs to expensive beverage category. Japaneses can afford the most luxury coffee experience
  6. Combined demand and affordability, Japaneses have great bargaining power on imported coffee beans' quality and price
  7. You can have quality beans and perhaps well roasted and brewed coffee at a very reasonable price
  8. With quality milk and food ingredients, you can have great mix and matched coffee experience
Further to the points listed above about coffee, there are of course numerous aspects in Japan that make Japan a lovely place to visit and experience. But I am not here to list those things out.

In this trip, 13 June 2018 to 23 June 2018, I will visit:
13-14 June, Karuizawa
14-15 June, Nikko

15-17 June, Ueno
18 June, Enoshima and Kamakura
19 June, Kawagoe
20-23 June, Shinjuku and general Tokyo
